10 best DIY masks to try for perfect, clear skin


We've put together some of the best homemade masks that work! More affordable than expensive Lush or drugstore products, these natural face masks will revitalize your skin and make you feel new! care for your skin & treat it well.


For each mask, please make sure your skin is clean before applying it. Use only organic honey.


1. Honey-Cinnamon mixture


Honey is an excellent naturally antibacterial and moisturizing, and cinnamon contains anti-inflammatory properties and is a natural exfoliant.



Use 2 or 3 1/2 tablespoons of honey or one tablespoon of ground cinnamon, microwave for 10 seconds and hold on your face for 10 minutes. I sometimes like to add a few drops of lemon juice to the mix (which helps to reduce the appearance of dark spots).


This is my absolute favourite mask, and I use it 1-2 times a week! This one is one of the excellent natural face masks.


2. Oat-yoghurt-honey


Oats are a great cleanser and exfoliant, and yoghurt removes dead skin and tightens pores.



Mix 1/2 cup water and 1/3 cup cooked oats, then two tablespoons yogurt and 1-2 tablespoons honey. Let this mask rest for 15 minutes before washing it off.


3. Banana-Honey-Lemon


This mask is excellent for lightening dull skin and removing dark spots. Bananas contain vitamins that tone and moisturize the skin.



Mash a ripe banana and add one tablespoon of honey and one tablespoon lemon juice.

Leave on for 10-15 minutes before rinsing. Banana-Honey-Lemon is one the best natural face masks available.


4. Cucumber yogurt


Cucumber can be used for making natural face masks and it also reduces inflammation and provides a ton of hydration, while yogurt closes pores and soothes the skin.



This relaxing mask is perfect if you're stressed out, blown up or need some relief! Make a puree with a peeled cucumber and add one tablespoon of yogurt.


Leave on for 15 minutes before rinsing.


5. Matcha-coconut oil-water


This soothes and reduces redness: matcha powder is an antioxidant and helps reduce redness and inflammation, and coconut oil is an excellent moisturizer.



Mix 1 tablespoon powdered matcha, ½ tablespoon coconut oil and ½ tablespoon water.


Apply to face and leave for about 15-20 minutes.


6. Avocado-Yogurt-Olive Oil-Honey


This hydrates and soothes the skin. Avocado and olive oil are both moisturizing.



Mix 1 avocado, two tablespoons of yogurt, one tablespoon of oil and one tablespoon of honey.


Leave on for 10-15 minutes before washing. Avocado is a great supplement for making natural face masks


7. Egg white and lemon


This is great for oily skin or if you are suffering from a rash. Egg white reduces acne and maintains skin elasticity.



Beat one egg white until fluffy and squeeze the juice of half a lemon on top.


Leave the mask on for approximately 20-30 minutes before rinsing.


8. Avocado and honey mask


This works great for dry skin. Mash ½ ripe avocado and add two tablespoons of honey and ½ tablespoon coconut oil.



Leave on for 10-15 minutes before washing. This one is the best diy masks for face


9. Strawberry-Yogurt-Honey


This is great for oily or acne-prone skin. Strawberries are acidic and therefore remove excess oil to prevent breakouts.



Mix ¼ cup strawberry puree, one tablespoon honey and one tablespoon yogurt. Leave on the face for 15-20 minutes before washing.


10. Sodium bicarbonate - honey


Baking soda is an exfoliant for the skin and removes blackheads. Honey hydrates during the process.



This works best for combination skin, but all skin types can experiment. This is also a more aggressive mask. Mix 2 tablespoons of baking soda and one tablespoon of honey.


Leave on the face for 10-15 minutes before washing.
